Our Staff

Dr. Garcia is a highly respected physician who has been very successful as an obstetrician and gynecologic surgeon in private practice for over 18 years in El Paso. He truly enjoys practicing medicine having attended over 6,000 deliveries. In 2002, he was selected by his peers and staff as Doctor of the Year at Las Palmas Medical Center, in 2013 and 2016 as Best Gynecologist in El Paso by the El Paso Times, and recently, in 2016 as Doctor of the Month at Providence Memorial Hospital.  He is chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Las Palmas Medical Center and has previously served as chief of obstetrics and gynecology at a local hospital and on the North Texas Region Perinatal Risk Advisory Board.  In 1994, he graduated Texas Tech University School of Medicine with Honors, Alpha Omega Alpha, and he continues to use modern medical knowledge to take care of patients every day. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has privileges at three local hospitals.  

Dr. Garcia's practice encompasses high and low risk pregnancies, including: the managing of twins, triplets, diabetes in pregnancy, hypertension, advanced maternal age pregnancies, and other high risk pregnancy problems. He also has a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgical procedures including robotically assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic pelvic surgery and vaginal hysterectomy.   

He is currently serving as chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Las Palmas Medical Center. 

He is also the Maternal Medical Director at Las Palmas Medical Center.
